What is a spray booth?
The paint booth is a kind of equipment that sprays paint, dyes and dries the surface of the equipment. It not only plays a beautiful role in the equipment, but also protects the items.
What are the advantages of a paint booth?
1. Fast pre-processing and good results: The automobile paint booth is a complete set of large-scale equipment. Cars generally undergo pre-processing before use. This not only eliminates the disadvantages of manual processing, improves work efficiency, but also improves the quality of the paint surface in car paint repair operations. This is not only because the paint booth can heat the paint surface evenly and dry quickly according to the operator's settings, but the paint booth can also isolate the paint from contamination caused by external dust and other pollutants, thus eliminating the need for subsequent polishing and other paint surface treatments.
2. The working environment is good. In order to keep the air in the paint booth clean, various types of paint booths are equipped with filtering devices, such as filter cotton, which are used to filter dust in the air entering the paint booth, and the paint booth's The ventilation system will ensure sufficient air exchange speed in the paint booth to ensure the cleanliness of the air in the paint booth. Many times, the pollution of car body paint is caused by human factors. For example, the vehicle to be painted enters the paint booth without being thoroughly cleaned, or the painting staff does not wear special protective clothing, or the paint booth is not clean, etc.
3. High work efficiency and guaranteed quality. Compared with manual spray painting and baking, the automobile paint booth is a mechanized "one-stop" service, and the work efficiency is several times, even dozens of times higher. The paint surface is smooth, uniform, free of impurities, and highly polished.
4. High safety factor. Automotive paint booths are generally equipped with thermostatic controllers and safety and explosion-proof systems.
What are the classifications of paint booths?
1. Air flow direction: Cross-flow paint booth:Airflow flows from one end of the booth to the other. This type of machine is low cost and easy to install. The disadvantage is that the mist moves along the side of the vehicle body, and the mist cannot be removed from around the operator's face, making the working environment unsatisfactory. The indoor paint temperature is unbalanced. affect quality.Side down-flush paint booth:The air enters the paint booth through the filter device on the ceiling and is discharged from the side walls of the booth. This is a mid-range priced paint booth. Since the mist is far away from the car body and the mist can be removed from the operator's surroundings, the spray painting effect and working environment are both ideal. Full underflush paint booth:Reflects today's most advanced technology. Air enters through the ceiling and is exhausted to the outside through a pit or basement. This exhaust method results in a cleaner painting process and a safer working environment. But its cost is high and it takes up a lot of space.
2.Heating method:It can be divided into diesel paint booth, electric heating paint booth, steam heating paint booth, far infrared paint booth, waste oil paint booth, natural gas paint booth and so on.
3. Paint mist treatment:It can be divided into two categories: dry paint booth and wet paint booth (water treatment).
What precautions should be taken in the paint booth?
1. Before spraying, check whether the spray pressure is normal and ensure that the filtration system is clean;
2. Check the air compressor and oil and dust separator, and keep the spray paint hose clean;
3. Spray guns, spray paint hoses and paint buckets should be stored in a clean place;
4. Except for dust removal with a blow gun and sticky cloth, all operations before spraying should be performed outdoors;
5. The paint booth can only carry out painting and baking processes, and the door of the paint booth can only be opened when vehicles enter and exit. When opening the door, the air circulation system during spraying must be opened to generate positive pressure to ensure that dust outside the booth cannot enter a booth;
6. Before entering the paint booth for work, you must wear designated spray painting clothes and safety protection devices;
7. During baking operations, flammable items in the paint booth must be moved out of the booth;
8. Non-essential personnel are not allowed to enter the paint booth.
What should you pay attention to before buying a paint booth?
1. Brightness, the brightness in the paint booth should reach 800-1000 lux, and the walls in the booth should be matte white;
2. Air flow, generally the air flow speed is not less than 0.2M
3. The filtering effect depends on the model of the paint roof cotton. When using the paint booth, you can use a sun lamp to illuminate the upper part of the booth. Usually the very fine dust should be less than 5 particles per square meter;
4. Wall sealing effect, the paint booth must be sealed, and there should be no accumulation of paint dust at the joints;
5. To ensure positive pressure, the air inlet volume of the paint baking booth should be slightly greater than the air outlet volume to keep the paint baking booth under positive pressure;
6. The sealing effect of the heating system should be good around the burner and chimney, and there should be no burnt putty;
7. Heating speed. The time it takes for the paint booth to rise from 20ºC to 60ºC is about 10-15 minutes. At the same time, it should be noted that the thermometers in some paint booths are inaccurate. When measuring the temperature, the temperature of the metal body in the paint booth should be used as the standard. If the chosen paint booth can meet the above conditions, it will be an ideal paint booth.
